Job summary

The Infantryman role in the United States Army Reserve involves serving in the field as a ground combat soldier. You will participate in fire team operations, mobilize vehicles and weaponry, and perform reconnaissance to support missions.

You will handle and secure weapons and equipment while maintaining discipline and readiness. Training is comprehensive, including Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training, preparing you for a wide range of military duties.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Submit to background and medical screening.
• Receive a passing score on the ASVAB.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a member of a fire team during drills and combat.
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Assist in reconnaissance missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Use, maintain and store combat weapons.
