Job summary

Luke-Family-of-Brand in Hammond, IN is seeking a part-time Convenience Store Sales Associate to greet customers, maintain a clean store, stock products in coolers and on shelves, and support daily operations with a friendly, upbeat approach.

You will complete daily cleaning checklists, handle transactions quickly and accurately, follow food preparation and waste guidelines, and respond to special tasks as assigned, while standing and lifting up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time, up to 10 hours.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining 100% customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily cleaning checklists, including restrooms, sales floor, coolers, counters, drink machines, coffee pots, cappuccino machines, other equipment, and outside lot.
• Provide a clean and safe environment for associates and customers.
• Unpack and stock product in the cooler and on the sales floor.
• Meet and greet all customers as they enter the store.
• Maintain stock and inventory using available tools and resources.
• Follow food and preparation methods, portion sizes, and waste guidelines.
• Offer a “treat” to customers by suggestive selling beverages or food.
• Complete sales transactions quickly and accurately.
• Any special tasks assigned.
