Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join a team building mission-critical applications for the U.S. defense and national security community. U.S. Secret clearance eligibility is required or current clearance.

The role focuses on high-performance, data-driven frontends with real-time collaboration and geospatial visualization. You will own features end-to-end, from user research to deployment and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of frontend or full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building complex frontend applications, not just marketing sites or CRUD apps.
• Proven ability to take features from concept to production and ownership of features.

Fuze HR Solutions is recruiting for a leading technology company seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join a team developing mission-critical applications supporting the U.S. defense and national security community. U.S. Secret clearance required or eligibility to obtain.

This is an opportunity to build sophisticated software used in operational environments where performance, reliability, and ease of use are critical. You’ll develop interactive, data-rich applications that help users visualize complex information, monitor real-time activity, collaborate, prioritize alerts, and make informed decisions.

This is more than traditional web development. You’ll have meaningful ownership of projects from understanding the user need and designing a solution through development, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Develop interactive data visualizations, geospatial experiences, and real-time collaborative features
• Create intuitive user interfaces for complex, data-heavy workflows
• Take ownership of features from initial concept and prototyping through production and long-term maintenance
• Work across frontend applications, APIs, data schemas, and supporting systems
• Solve challenging problems involving application performance, user experience, rendering, and system design
• Collaborate closely with users, designers, backend engineers, and other technical teams
• Work directly with users to understand operational needs and translate them into effective software solutions

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years of frontend or full-stack software engineering experience
• Experience building complex frontend applications, rather than primarily marketing websites or basic CRUD applications
• Demonstrated experience taking meaningful software features from concept through production
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, performance, and systems design
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance
• Currently located in the Washington, D.C. area
• Ability and willingness to work onsite 4–5 days per week

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

• Defense, government, or national security technology
• Geospatial or mapping applications
• Real-time software or collaborative applications
• Mission-critical software
• High-growth technology companies or startups
• Open-source software contributions
• Hackathons or substantial technical side projects
• Experience working directly with end users to develop software solutions

• $135,000–$200,000 base salary, depending on experience
