Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a motivated Frontend Developer to build intuitive web applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse. The role emphasizes asking questions, failing fast, and writing maintainable code within a hybrid San Antonio team.

You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to integrate REST APIs, write tests, and ensure quality. A U.S. Government security clearance is required or obtainable, with roughly two days per week in the San Antonio office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of front-end software development/engineering with a B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years with Masters in related field; or 9 years with only HS diploma.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
• Comfortable working on a Unix-like command line.
• Hybrid work environment with ~2 days per week at the San Antonio office.

What You'll be Owning

• Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
• Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
• Help define and interact with REST based API’s.

• Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Must Have

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Not required to start. U.S. Citizenship required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
• Comfortable working on a *nix command line.
• Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly.
• Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 2 days per week at a San Antonio office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

What Would be Nice to Have

• Current Clearances: Active Secret or Top Secret clearances are a strong plus.
• Previous experience with a Data Lake/Warehouse is a plus.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer.
