Job summary

Shield AI in San Mateo, CA is seeking a full-stack engineer to build customer-facing products, developer tools, and AI-assisted workflows. You will partner with internal subject-matter experts to build an extensible application platform and complete applications on it.

Forge is designed to be extended by external teams and integrated with autonomy, simulation, and ML workflows. You’ll work across frontend, backend, and model integrations to deliver reliable capabilities that help engineers build

Qualifications

Own production full-stack apps from design to rollout and support.
Proficient with TypeScript and React; backend in Go, Python, or Rust.
Experience designing typed APIs and contracts between deployed components.
Strong knowledge of web architecture, security, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Build and operate a front-end development platform embedded in the workflows used to train, validate, and deploy the AI Pilot.
Design a composable UI architecture for apps, dashboards, commands, widgets, and shared context.
Define typed, versioned contracts between the platform and Forge applications.
Create workflows to package, publish, configure, install, upgrade, and disable applications.
Enable Forge’s AI experiences and agent harnesses to understand context, invoke tools, navigate apps, and compose dashboards.
Deliver consistent application behavior across local-development and AI Factory environments.
Partner with simulation, autonomy, and ML experts to validate the platform against real workflows.
Work across infrastructure, security, product, and design to shape the platform’s architecture.
