Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) in Los Angeles is seeking a Frontend Software Engineering Intern to build and refine production React features. You’ll work on audience workflows, invest in UI polish, and learn TypeScript in a production codebase.

You’ll collaborate with engineers and product partners, write tests, and gain hands-on experience with API integration, Git, and modern frontend tooling.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in CS/CE or related field.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; able to build a small interactive page.
• Familiar with React components, props and state; willing to learn TypeScript.
• Comfort reading JSON, making simple API requests; basic Git experience.
• Curious about data, permissions and shared components; willing to ask questions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and openness to feedback and code review.
• Java and MVC familiarity is a plus.
• Interest in testing, accessibility and clear UX from coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve React components for audience workflows, including segment lists, forms, filters and details.
• Translate requirements and API data into accessible UI, handling loading, empty and error states.
• Explore routes, data and state to identify focused improvements in production code.
• Write/update tests or stories, verify in browser, explain testing coverage.
• Collaborate with engineers, product partners and reviewers on requirements and tradeoffs.
• Learn TS contracts, shared UI components, JSON, API wrappers and frontend-backend interplay.
• Apply Git workflows and testing tools like Storybook, mocks and unit tests.
• Explore how audience tools support marketing and analytics decisions at PlayStation.
