Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a UI Engineer to design and develop frontend-heavy web applications from Cupertino, CA. You will work with React/JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and REST APIs while collaborating with a cross-functional team including PMs, designers, and backend developers.

You will contribute to code quality through reviews, debugging, and adopting modern web technologies. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to work with Fortune 500 customers.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing web applications with a frontend emphasis.
• Strong experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
• Proficient in consuming REST APIs and handling HTTP responses.
• Experience with backend web services frameworks - Node.js.
• Some experience with relational databases - SQL.
• Strong experience with Git and bug tracking within a software team.
• Basic understanding of containerization and DevOps processes (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD).
• Strong debugging and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Self-directed, analytical, and collaborative with a desire to learn and improve.
• Experience collaborating with PMs, designers, and other developers.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, plan, and implement software development work.
• Work closely with product manager to gather requirements for new modules or improvements.
• Evaluate and improve existing code to follow best practices.
• Troubleshoot issues and evaluate solutions.
• Stay updated with new technologies and adopt relevant ones.
• Participate in peer reviews and apply software engineering best practices.
• Ensure projects meet objectives and timelines.
• Set engineering vision and direction for current and future applications.
