Job summary

Plane is seeking a frontend engineer to build and maintain React and TypeScript interfaces in a production environment. You will craft responsive, themeable UI components with Tailwind CSS, manage state thoughtfully, and contribute to a growing component library.

You\'ll work with ProseMirror for rich-text editing, implement offline-first syncing with Service Workers and IndexedDB, and integrate with Python/Django, Golang, and Elixir backends via REST and GraphQL.

Qualifications

• Shipped React and TypeScript projects to production.
• Deep understanding of state management and reactivity flow.
• Ability to write responsive CSS with Tailwind and catch layout issues early.
• Experience with shared component libraries and handling edge cases.
• Strong fundamentals in web performance measurement and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Develop responsive, themeable UI components using Tailwind CSS.
• Manage application state thoughtfully, deciding when local vs global state is needed.
• Contribute to and maintain a shared component library with attention to edge cases.
• Work with ProseMirror-based editor and implement offline-first syncing using Service Workers and IndexedDB.
• Integrate with backend services built in Python/Django, Golang, and Elixir via REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Optimize interface performance and measure improvements.
• Build desktop experiences using Electron.
