Job summary

Principal Asset Management is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Experience Solutions technology team within Workplace Savings & Retirement Solutions. You’ll work on React front‑end applications, APIs, and Java-based services in a modern, Agile environment on AWS, collaborating closely with engineers and product partners.

You’ll own features end to end, design and implement, test, deploy, and maintain solutions while growing your technical skills and contributing to scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree (preferred in CS/tech/math) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of engineering experience with full stack exposure.
• Experience building user interfaces using React or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with API or event-driven applications in TypeScript or Java.
• Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
• Desire to learn new technology and continuously grow.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business partners to build high-quality, customer-facing front-end applications.
• Own features end to end from design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Solve complex problems to improve customer experience, scalability, and performance.
• Engage in pairing, mob programming, and design discussions to strengthen team outcomes.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and deepen expertise in at least one area of the frontend codebase.
