Job summary

CHAMP is redefining government tech with cloud-based platforms that replace legacy systems. We are hiring a Frontend Engineer in Cleveland (onsite four days a week) to build user-facing experiences for CHAMP's platform in a collaborative Agile team.

You will translate requirements into polished, responsive interfaces, work with product/design/backend, and contribute to scalable web apps that securely handle government data. Growth culture and supportive teammates await.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, testing, and implementing React or comparable framework applications.
• Solid understanding of UI design patterns, principles, and best practices.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with frontend build tools and dependency management (NPM, Yarn, RsBuild, Lerna, or similar).
• Experience writing automated tests (Vitest, React Testing Library, Jest, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features while improving code quality and maintainability.
• Translate use cases and UI mockups into responsive features.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and handle loading and error states gracefully.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Create and maintain system and component documentation.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, Product, and QA teams.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and learn from seniors.
• Implement security best practices for sensitive data.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
