Job summary

LangChain in San Francisco is seeking a frontend engineer to develop and enhance features on LangSmith, our AI observability and evaluation platform. You will build user-facing components with React and TypeScript, collaborate with backend engineers and UX/UI designers, and ship robust interfaces across devices in a fast-paced startup environment.

This role can be based in SF, NY, or Boston; on-site work is expected for local hires.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of front-end engineering experience with React, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with front-end tools like Babel, Vite, Webpack, NPM, and Yarn.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and collaboration with full-stack and backend engineers.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms such as JWTs.
• Strong focus on user experience and clean, intuitive interfaces.
• Excellent communication, able to explain concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset and comfort in fast-paced startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features using React & TypeScript.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
