Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related experience in frontend development.
• Hands-on experience with Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with Vue, React, or Angular and REST APIs.
• Experience with Git, SQL/Oracle, Agile development, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Familiarity with build tools (Gradle, Maven, Jenkins) and testing frameworks (JUnit, Cypress).
• Security Clearance TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

GDIT is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join our team of building scalable, maintainable and high-performance UI applications using a microservices architecture. As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing application frontend framework and technologies, with a focus on building modular, loosely coupled components that integrate with our backend microservices. You will work closely with our development team to build reusable UI components, optimize UI performance and ensure accessibility.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Experience: 10+ years of related
• Technical skills required:
• Demonstrated hands-on experience programming web and client/server applications using Java, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hiberate/JPA
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with upgrading Spring boot, Hibernate/JPA especially from much older versions to newer versions
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such a Vue, React, or Angular
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with database design and querying (SQL, Oracle)
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with version control such as Git (GitHub, Gitlab, etc.).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience building APIs and services using REST
• Experience working in Agile development environment
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Desired experience with:
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux-based or Windows-based systems and shell scripting
• Demonstrated experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with build automation technologies like Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Cypress)
• Location: Chantilly, VA - On Customer Site
