About the Role

As a Front-End Developer at StartCap, you will be a crucial part of our development team, driving the creation of sleek, user-friendly, and responsive interfaces. You’ll work closely with our backend engineers and UX designers to bring to life the financial tools and platforms that help our clients access the funding they need. Your expertise in the LAMP stack will be pivotal as you bridge the gap between design and technical execution, ensuring our web applications not only look great but perform seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the front-end of our web applications, ensuring they are intuitive, responsive, and visually engaging.
• Collaborate with backend developers to implement dynamic functionality using the LAMP stack, your focus will be primarily frontend but a good understanding of LAMP is a plus.
• Write efficient, well-structured HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness for optimal user experiences.
• Work with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize application performance for speed and scalability, ensuring top-notch user interactions.
• Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues across different browsers and devices.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use, enhancing development efficiency.

Who You Are

• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer, with a deep understanding of web fundamentals like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Proficient in working with MySQL databases and integrating them with front-end interfaces.
• Familiar with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrapor similar.
• Experienced with Git version control and development workflows. *We’re willing to train.
• Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with building front-end interfaces that interact with RESTful APIs.
• A basic understanding of SEO best practices and front-end optimization techniques.
• Experience with Linux environments and basic server management.
