Job summary

ecoPortal is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join our team and deliver impactful features for our SaaS platform. You will work in a collaborative Agile squad, focusing on React and Next.js while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to enhance development workflows.

You will tackle complex frontend challenges, collaborate with Product Managers and QA, and contribute to shaping a safe, scalable, and user-friendly interface that supports our health and safety missions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong hands-on React and/or Next.js.
• Experience with AI-assisted or agentic programming tools.
• Experience delivering features for SaaS applications or other complex web-based products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working in Agile development teams.
• Ability to work with complex applications and existing codebases.
• Hands-on, proactive, and collaborative attitude.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the ecoPortal team.
• Experience with Angular is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver features for the SaaS frontend.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Testers to improve the UI.
• Contribute to AI-assisted development workflows and tooling.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Frontend Developer to join our talented team.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Developer with strong hands‑on experience in React and/or Next.js who is passionate about solving problems and loves the idea of making a difference.

You’ll join a collaborative, high‑performing Agile squad, working closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Testers to deliver improvements to our SaaS application. Our frontend is complex, so you’ll need to be comfortable getting into existing code, understanding problems, and building practical solutions.

We’re also embracing AI and agentic programming across our development teams. You’ll be expected to use AI‑assisted development tools as part of your workflow and be comfortable delegating appropriate development tasks to AI agents while maintaining oversight of the work.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• 3+ years of professional development experience, with a strong focus on frontend development
• Strong hands‑on experience with React and/or Next.js
• Hands‑on experience using AI-assisted or agentic programming tools
• Experience developing and delivering features for SaaS applications or other complex web‑based products
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience working in Agile development teams
• The ability to work effectively with complex applications and existing codebases
• A hands‑on, responsive, and can‑do attitude
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A willingness to learn and grow within the ecoPortal team
• A desire to positively impact our clients and deliver real‑world value
• Experience with Angular is a plus
• Experience with other frontend frameworks is a nice‑to‑have

37h work weeks we have a great work culture and work/life balance, with office hours of Mon‑Fri 8am‑12pm NZT (Sun‑Thu where you are) and the rest of your hours at your own discretion. This is a full‑time permanent position and includes 4 weeks of paid annual leave as part of your contract.
