Job summary

Stoke Space is building Nova, a fully reusable launch vehicle as part of a mission-driven, collaborative team. As a Software Engineer on the Data Team, you will contribute to the design and implementation of Stoke’s data visualization and analysis tooling, covering high-performance web UIs, real-time services, and scalable monitoring systems for supercomputing and fielded hardware.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in software development.
• Professional experience with Typescript and Rust.
• Strong front-end development experience, especially for scientific computing, manufacturing workflows, or infrastructure monitoring/visualization.
• Hands-on experience with time series data visualization libraries (Plotly, Highcharts).
• Ability to design and maintain complex systems on AWS.
• Experience building modern web apps using React.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration in teams.
• Proven leadership taking ideas from concept to production at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack visualization tools for hardware and software analysis.
• Design intuitive front-end interfaces for troubleshooting, analysis and monitoring the health of our launch vehicles.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design features meeting time-sensitive needs.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of visualization tools across front-end and back-end.
• Continuously improve existing tools and develop new features to meet evolving requirements.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong technical culture.
• Participate in a low-friction on-call rotation; ensure platform stability.
