Job summary

Jefferies Technology seeks energetic Summer Interns to gain hands-on exposure to a global investment bank's technology teams in New York or Jersey City. You will work on real projects across IB Tech, CRM & Analytics, Fixed Income, Equities, or Risk Technology, with mentorship and formal performance reviews.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in a technical field, with programming experience in Python, Java, C++, C#, or JavaScript, and a strong interest in capital markets and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Programming in Python, Java, C++, C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript or KDB/Q.
• Knowledge of data structures, APIs, SQL; exposure to Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake.
• Interest in capital markets, investment banking, client relationship management, trading, risk analytics or financial data.
• Exposure to cloud, distributed systems, microservices, containers, CI/CD, Git.
• Familiarity with data analysis, visualization, BI/reporting, AI/ML, LLMs or retrieval-augmented generation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, collaborate in a fast-paced global team and balance experimentation with disciplined delivery.
