Schulte Hospitality Group in Truckee, CA seeks a dynamic Front Office Supervisor to join Martis Valley Lodge, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. You will lead front desk operations, ensure guest satisfaction, train staff, and manage daily room status and VIP arrivals.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of hotel Front Desk operations.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times.
• Anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
• Assign specific duties to staff for efficient operation of department.
• Assist in training new associates and cross-training existing associates.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring new associates for the department.
• Promote teamwork and associate morale. Treat people with respect.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure staff responds appropriately in emergencies.
• Monitor daily status of rooms, rates, discount rates and packages.
• Maintain current list of available rooms for walk situations.
• Coordinate blocking of rooms.
• Check printed registration cards against arrival report and rectify discrepancies.
• Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests.
• Pre-register guests according to standards.
• Complete and monitor employee schedules.
• Monitor VIP arrivals.
• Notify Maintenance of issues.
• Hires, coaches and disciplines direct reports.
• Interact positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues.
• Adhere to EEO, Fair Employment Practices and Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Acts as Manager on Duty as required.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
