Job summary

Sagent Behavioral Health in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Front Office Registration specialist for an onsite, 1.0 FTE role. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, offering a stable schedule and supportive team in a thriving behavioral health network.

In this role you will greet patients, guide them through the intake process, collect demographic and insurance information, and coordinate referrals while collaborating with clinical staff to ensure efficient operations and a positive first

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in health care facilities preferred.
• Interest in behavioral health strongly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and referents to ensure a positive first impression.
• Explain intake procedures, services, and scheduling to clients.
• Register new patients and verify demographic and insurance data.
• Answer calls and triage inquiries with accurate information.
• Process referrals and communicate scheduling outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical staff on patient care and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a positive first impression for patients and referents by guiding them through the intake process with professionalism and empathy.
• Act as the point of contact for all intra-office referrals and inquiries by providing education on all services, intake procedures, and scheduling appointments.
• Register new patients by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information.
• Answer inbound and make outbound phone calls while responding to inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner, providing accurate information or triaging as appropriate.
• Process internal and external referrals and communicate scheduling outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical staff regarding patient care issues and scheduling.
• Maintain awareness in trends, patterns, and needs for new services.
• Handle patient concerns and crises with empathy and patience and collaborate with site leadership to resolve as needed.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in health care facilities and an interest in behavioral health is strongly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.

Compensation

This is a non-exempt position. Total earnings for this position will be $16.50/hr

• Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as education, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location.
• Employees in these positions are W2.
