Job summary

State Street Corporation in Boston seeks an Front Office Credit Risk Analyst, Officer to join the SSM Risk and FRM team. This role provides first-line credit risk management across Financing Solutions, FX Sales & Trading, and Portfolio Solutions, with reporting to the Head of Front Office Credit Risk.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in counterparty credit risk, capital markets exposure to FX and OTC derivatives, and professional designations such as CFA or FRM are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an economics or business-related field.
• 2-5 years’ experience in counterparty credit risk preferred.
• Formal credit training is strongly preferred.
• Professional designation (CFA, FRM) preferred but not required.
• Strong risk management and control focus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit reviews of counterparties and prospects within each SSM business line.
• Partner with sales teams to ensure timely credit analysis of new relationships.
• Negotiate client-facing credit terms in legal agreements and monitor ATEs.
• Liaise with relationship management and front office trading to support counterparty review.
• Manage collection of up-to-date financial information for all counterparties.
• Participate in due diligence calls and visits under direction of credit team leader.
• Review credit utilization reports and investigate over-limit conditions.
• Inform Enterprise Risk Management of relevant counterparty developments.
• Support Front Office Credit and Market Risk teams as needed.
