Job summary

The Blue Loon is a bakery café in New London, NH, seeking friendly Front-of-House Team Members to join our collaborative team. We offer part-time and full-time roles (approximately 15–32 hours per week) with flexible availability, including weekdays and weekends.

As a cross-trained team member, you’ll handle cashier, expeditor, food runner, and floor support, adapting to daily needs and delivering exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

• Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays and weekends.
• At least one year of cashier or customer service experience.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every customer.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and a positive attitude.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative, team-first mindset.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, lift, and comfortably perform the physical demands of a busy bakery café, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
• A dependable work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional hospitality from the moment they walk through our doors.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process customer orders and payments.
• Expedite orders by coordinating with the kitchen and bakery teams.
• Serve guests with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Set up and break down pastry displays to ensure they are attractive and well-stocked.
• Provide floor support by maintaining a clean, welcoming dining area.
• Assist with general cleaning duties and maintain café cleanliness.
• Answer questions about the menu and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Restock merchandise and bakery cases throughout the day.
• Work closely with kitchen and bakery teams during busy periods.
