Job summary

National Park Service in Yellowstone National Park seeks a Park Guide (Field Unit Local Hiring Authority) for a career seasonal appointment. You will serve as a front-line park representative, providing guided walks, tours, and interpretive programs to visitors during approximately 11 months of pay status (January – October and December).

Qualifications

• Answering questions on a variety of subjects.
• Guiding small groups and providing services to visitors.
• Presenting limited and repetitive pre-established talks including map talks and exhibits.
• Orienting hikers to conditions and equipment needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of services for park visitors as a front-line guide.
• Conduct short interpretive walks, tours, and educational programs.
• Share information about the park and its resources with visitors.
• May guide larger groups up to 50 people on longer walks or programs.
