Job summary

Robotics Technologies LLC is seeking a senior Front-End Tech Lead to drive Angular-based UI development with a strong emphasis on accessibility. The role involves leading design and implementation of staff-facing screens, applying USWDS, and setting front-end standards across projects for government-grade applications.

You will mentor developers, collaborate with Java teams, and raise the bar for CI/CD, documentation, and accessibility validation to ensure WCAG 2.2 AA compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the front-end codebase using Angular, SASS, and HTML, defining architecture, technical direction, and coding standards.
• Develop, review, and maintain high-quality front-end code for Staff MIUI screens.
• Implement and enforce the USWDS and State Design System.
• Own the accessibility strategy and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508, Title I, and Title II requirements.
• Perform accessibility validation using automated tools and screen readers, and manual navigation.
• Lead code reviews and design reviews while mentoring front-end developers.
• Improve and maintain front-end CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines.
• Identify architectural gaps and define the front-end technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with Java backend teams to integrate APIs and services; Java development is not required.
• Prepare technical documentation and process documentation.
• Apply secure development practices aligned with government security and sensitive data handling requirements.

The State of Iowa is seeking a senior-level Front-End Tech Lead to lead and support the development of Staff MIUI screens within IWD. This role combines hands-on front-end engineering with technical leadership, architecture direction, accessibility compliance, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) improvements. The candidate will establish front-end engineering standards, develop and review high-quality Angular applications, implement design systems, and ensure compliance with accessibility requirements. The role also involves mentoring developers, improving deployment workflows, collaborating with Java backend teams, and maintaining technical documentation. Candidates must have at least 8 years of relevant front-end experience, expert knowledge of Angular, SASS, and HTML, formal accessibility certification (CPACC, WAS, or equivalent), and hands-on accessibility testing experience.

Key Responsibilities :
