Job summary

Total Wine & More is hiring a Front End Team Member to provide fast, friendly cashiering and customer service in a busy wine, spirits, and beer retail setting. You will process transactions, answer questions, promote the loyalty program, and maintain store cleanliness.

Role may also include as a sales associate or merchandiser duties, with training on wine and beer products, store promotions, and safety compliance. A high school diploma is preferred and weekend availability is common.

Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering strong customer service in a retail setting.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
  • Willingness to learn product knowledge and loyalty programs.

Responsibilities

  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification.
  • Answer questions and promote the loyalty program to drive upsell.
  • Bag groceries and merchandise while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

About the role As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit. While both part-time and full-time positions generally focus on being a cashier, you may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally, you will be referred to Front End Team Member and report to the store management team. You will Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty program, and bagging product Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned If this job posting is coded as a seasonal role above, you can expect this position to be short term, no longer than six months, and you will have the option to apply for a non-seasonal role. You will come with High school diploma or equivalent preferred Passion for best-in-class customer service and team player mindset 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends Physical requirements (with or without accommodations) Must be 21 years of age or older Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.

Worker Type: Regular Pay Range: $14.05 - $19.66 Hourly
