Job summary

Mastery is building the next generation of freight management applications and seeks a frontend engineer to join a small, agile team. You’ll contribute to architectural design, implement a React UI, and collaborate with product managers to deliver fast, accessible interfaces across devices.

You’ll work from Chicago, Lake Forest, or Champaign, enjoy flexible scheduling, unlimited vacation, and a culture that supports time for innovation and personal life balance.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical front end web development experience including responsive web applications.
• Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with React or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and SaaS application development.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Manager and other developers to design and build the React UI for our real-time freight management system.
• Ensure interfaces function quickly and beautifully across devices.
• Engage in the full development life-cycle including architectural design and testing.

Our brokerage application targets large, distributed brokerages and 3PL’s, with follow-on shipper TMS available in the future.
