Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a senior front-end Software Engineer in the Ashburn, VA area to design and build high‑performance, AI‑driven user interfaces. You will create responsive, accessible dashboards and collaborate with AI/ML engineers and product teams to translate complex data into intuitive experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development including front-end development.
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience building production applications with React and modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with React state management and data-fetching libraries such as Redux Toolkit.
• Experience with consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and accessibility standards.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and AI services.

You Have

• 8+ years of experience with software development including front‑end application development
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Experience building production applications with React and modern JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with React state management and data‑fetching libraries such as Redux Toolkit
• Experience with consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs
• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and accessibility standards
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and AI services
• Public Trust
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems

Nice If You Have

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or enterprise search platforms
• Experience with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Experience supporting federal government programs
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
• Secret clearance
• Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
