Instrumental Inc. is seeking a Front End Product Engineer in the Bay Area to own and deliver complete application features from user insight through design, build, and release.
You’ll collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and engineering to craft compelling user experiences using TypeScript, React, HTML, and SCSS, while ensuring robust, performant production features. You will work with AI-assisted tooling to accelerate exploration and debugging, and benefit from a supportive, fast-paced
Instrumental technology is used by the world’s most admired electronics brands, such as NVIDIA, Cisco, and Meta, to accelerate new product development and improve production yields. Our technology leverages AI to process data generated on the manufacturing floor, automating failure identification and resolution, improving yield, quality, and time-to-market. In the past few quarters, our technology has become mission-critical for AI server manufacturers. We’re rapidly growing our global presence to enable deeper integrations into our customers’ complex manufacturing environments.
As a Front End Product Engineer, you’ll build and improve features across our Application stack. We deeply respect great talent, and that respect shows up in how we treat people early in their careers: your ideas get heard in technical discussions, your judgment is taken seriously, and you’re given problems that matter to customers. Responsibility here is earned through how you work. We pay attention to the engineer who digs into what users actually need, raises a risk before it becomes a problem, proposes practical next steps, and finishes what they start. Those habits are what open the door to owning features end to end, from the first user conversation through design, build, and release.
Along the way, Product, Customer Success, and fellow engineers will give you honest feedback and help you think through hard problems, and knowing when to ask for help is one of the signals of good judgment we look for. Early-career engineers who bring that combination of curiosity and follow-through often find themselves trusted with work they didn’t expect to touch for years.
We’re a growing team that works collaboratively, supports each other, and is energized by having an impact.
