Job summary

Paycom in San Jose, CA is seeking a Front End Supervisor to oversee daily front-end operations and ensure outstanding customer service. You will greet customers, bag items, and assist cashiers while enforcing store policies.

Responsibilities include supervising front-end staff, scheduling breaks, monitoring logs, and ensuring compliance with government regulations for sales like WIC and alcohol. This role requires leadership and a focus on cash handling and store safety.

Qualifications

• Get all the readings for cashiers and ATM machines and 99.
• Make sure all cashiers leave their register drawers open and clean.
• Count the money in the booth.
• Make sure all go-backs are put back and store is thoroughly cleaned.
• Shopping carts should be locked.
• Write down notes on the daily log regarding any activity that will help or inform the opening manager.
• Make sure all doors are locked and you are the last person to leave the store.
• Set the alarm.

• Monitor Sweep Sheet log, Shuttle Check List & Log, Injury Reports, and all other front end forms.
• Enforce store regulations and proper uniform; no eating at registers.
• Enforce government regulations for WIC, Foodstamps, Alcohol and tobacco sales.
• Walk the floor to know weekly specials and aisles are faced.
• Assist with Company marketing promotional events and programs as needed.
• All other assigned job duties.

Job Location: San Jose, CA 95125, Salary Range: $18.90 - $25.40 Hourly

Job Duties

• Greet all customers in a friendly manner.
• Bag merchandise during sales transaction.
• Thank customers for their patronage.
• Supervise all front end employees, make sure our company provides outstanding customer service at all times. (Properly staffed as business requires)
• Verify and approve all customer returns, price adjustments, rain checks, and checks in accordance with company policy.
• Assist cashiers with 9, 32, 50, 11, etc. Pick up cash drops when needed.
• Schedule and make sure Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks take breaks. Make weekly schedules and post by Saturday afternoon.
• Monitor Sweep Sheet log, Shuttle Check List & Log, Injury Reports, and all other front end forms are up to date.
• Monitor shopping carts and ad fliers for customers.
• Discipline (including warnings, suspensions, and terminations) and encourage front end department employees.
• Supervise and train all front end employees, including safety.
• Notify Scan Coordinator of any incorrect price and items not able to scan immediately.
• Enforce all company regulations. Make sure everybody is wearing proper uniform, no eating at registers, etc.
• Enforce all government regulations for WIC, Foodstamps, Alcohol and tobacco sales.
• Walk the floor to know weekly specials and aisles are faced.

Physical Requirements

• Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs
• Place boxes/product onto dolly or cart
• Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs (items on cart/dolly)
• Bend/Stoop pick up and or place product below waist level (including shelves and racks).
• Walk the Store throughout all Departments to inspect store operations during the duration of your shift.
