Job summary

RiverBend Materials, a CRH company, seeks an experienced front‑end loader/excavator operator for our Salem, OR area sites. You will work 10–12 hour shifts, five days a week with potential overtime during the busy season, and travel between Eugene and Corvallis as needed. A valid license and safety mindset are required.

The role includes operating heavy equipment safely, maintaining equipment, and supporting the paving crew. You may work nights and weekends as business demands dictate.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Front-end Wheel Loader experience and/or training.
• Ability to add, subtract, and multiply.
• Valid drivers license.
• Safety minded professional with good attendance and punctuality.
• Must pass pre-employment physical exam and drug testing.
• Overtime, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Able to conform to OSHA, MSHA, DOT and company/state rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently within designed parameters.
• Maintain safe slopes and barricading on excavations.
• Perform minor servicing or refer major problems to supervisor.
• Keep machines clean and maintained.
• Keep time and material records.
• Travel to multiple sites as needed.
• Assist labor crew with material handling and plant operations.
• Communicate with paving crew about material quality.
• Maintain focus on safety and hazard avoidance.
• Participate in an inclusive work environment.
