Job Summary
Leads front‑end operations and coordinates front‑end personnel. Proactively responds to customer issues and complaints. Models desired behaviors, ensures front‑of‑store cleanliness and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with upper management to train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
- Assist in training cashiers and courtesy/utility clerks on customer‑service policies, produce codes, cash handling/tender procedures, scanner use, and bagging protocol.
- Ensure company regulations and standards for freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met.
- Provide checkout services, bag, and transport customer groceries as needed.
- Verify correct checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items.
- Maintain accurate money count in register at all times.
- Monitor parking lot cleanliness and assist with customer flow on the front end.
- Monitor and manage potential front‑end shrink, including monitoring partner purchases and bottom‑of‑basket transactions.
- Provide a friendly, customer‑service‑oriented attitude by greeting customers and answering questions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by adhering to company safety procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of cash register operations.
- Intermediate knowledge of store operations and checkout policies.
- Understanding of state laws regarding alcohol, tobacco, and lottery sales.
- Knowledge of anti‑money laundering and related regulations.
- Basic knowledge of on‑site fuel station procedures, if applicable.
- Basic mathematical skills.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Minimum 18 years of age. Partners must be 21 years or older to drive for company business. High school diploma or GED required, plus two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
Certifications Required
- HIPAA certification within 2 weeks of starting.
- Tobacco/Alcohol certification (TABC/LACT/AATC) within 2 weeks, where applicable.
- Manager Food Safety certification within 2 weeks.
- Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) certification within 2 weeks.

Work Context and Environment
Work is generally performed in a retail store. Occasionally exposed to outside temperatures, weather, cleaning agents. Noise level quiet to moderate.
