KAYAK in Cambridge/Concord, MA is seeking a frontend engineer to build front-end features for the Cars search vertical using React and TypeScript. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers, write tests, and participate in code reviews to maintain quality.

The role embraces a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the Cambridge or Concord office, and opportunities to work with AI coding tools to boost velocity and code quality.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or software engineering.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; TypeScript preferred.
• Hands-on experience with React or a comparable UI framework.
• Experience with Git and collaborative codebases.
• Ability to use AI coding tools to improve velocity and quality.
• Clear communication, collaboration, and openness to feedback.
• Hybrid work capability with in-office presence in Cambridge or Concord at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver well-scoped frontend features for KAYAK's Cars search vertical.
• Write clean, maintainable React/TypeScript code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to translate requirements into user-facing experiences.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability.
• Engage in agile ceremonies and use AI coding tools to improve velocity.
