Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Weldon, NC is seeking a Class A/B CDL driver to safely operate front-end loading trucks and hydraulic systems on local commercial routes. You will start early shifts, work outdoors in varying weather, and represent the company to business partners.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, coordinate with dispatch, and maintain timely, dependable service while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• CDL (Class A or B) with a clean driving record is required.
• 1+ years of commercial driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Command the Controls: Safely operate front-end loading trucks and hydraulic fork systems to lift and empty commercial waste containers across the Weldon area.

• Master Commercial Routes: Navigate local commercial sites, business parks, and tight urban spaces with care and efficiency.

• Represent the Brand: Deliver friendly, dependable service as the direct face of GFL to our commercial business partners.

• Drive Safety First: Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain optimal safety and truck performance.

• Stay Connected: Communicate closely with dispatchers and operations teams to solve route challenges on the fly.

What We’re Looking For

• Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

• Experience: 1+ years of commercial driving experience (front-load, waste industry, or heavy vehicle experience is a major plus!).

• Precision Skills: Comfortable operating joystick controls and hydraulic lifting mechanisms in varied environments.
