Job summary

D2 Technical Services is seeking a skilled frontend-focused engineer to build mission-critical data applications for NGA environments. You’ll design responsive interfaces, create reusable dashboards, and enable AI-driven analytics within secure, high-volume systems.

The role requires a TS clearance and 100% onsite work in Springfield, VA, collaborating with data engineers, UI/UX, and backend teams to deliver mission-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with 4+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with Next.js or similar full-stack frontend frameworks.
• Experience building dynamic, data-intensive interfaces.
• Experience with BI platforms for dashboards.
• Working knowledge of SQL or similar query languages.
• Experience in U.S. Government, DoD, or Intelligence Community environments.
• Familiarity with secure development practices and RBAC.

ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED

We’re building modern, data-driven applications that support mission users across the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) environment.

There are also active opportunities to integrate AI into user workflows from enhancing data exploration to automating insight generation. If you’re motivated to apply AI in IC environments that are actively looking to adopt it, this is a strong place to do that.

What You’ll Do

Build Mission-Focused Data Applications

• Develop responsive web applications using React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
• Create reusable components for dashboards, charts, and analytical workflows
• Design interfaces that make complex and enterprise datasets easy to navigate

Work Across the Data Stack

• Collaborate with data engineers to understand schemas, pipelines, and data models (e.g., SQL Server, Data Vault, or similar)
• Shape and transform data as needed for effective presentation in the UI

Contribute to AI-Enabled Workflows

• Support integration of AI-driven capabilities into analytics applications
• Work with teams exploring applied AI use cases within IC mission systems

Improve Performance and Usability

• Optimize applications for performance in data-heavy environments
• Continuously refine user experience based on mission feedback and operational needs

• Familiarity with Next.js or similar full-stack frontend frameworks

• Experience working in U.S. Government, DoD, or Intelligence Community environments, or similar regulated environments
• Familiarity with secure development practices and role-based data access patterns

• Experience supporting NGA
• Cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue) or similar
• Data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, Recharts, or equivalent
• Familiarity with data warehouse or Data Vault concepts
• Exposure to applied AI tools, frameworks, or integrations in production environments
• Integrate with APIs, data services, and query layers supporting enterprise data platforms

Clearance Requirements

• Active TS clearance required – Can provide SCI / CI Poly
• 100% onsite in Springfield, VA
