Job summary

Jewel-Osco in Evanston, IL seeks a Front-End Team Member to deliver a smooth checkout experience, assist customers, scan items, handle transactions, and keep the front-end area organized.

You’ll balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, manage carts, restock shelves, and ensure pricing accuracy while upholding friendly service during mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

No prior experience required, but friendly communication and basic math skills help; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly with customers.
• Ability to process purchases accurately including cash, card, and digital payments.
• Basic math and attention to detail required to balance tills.

Responsibilities

• Handle checkout transactions and assist customers at the front end.
• Scan items, bag groceries, and answer customer questions.
• Maintain front-end cleanliness and organization; restock and collect carts as needed.
• Keep checkout area secure and ensure pricing and promotions are applied correctly.
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow throughout shifts.
