Job summary

Fiesta Mart is seeking a Checker at Store 028 Houston-West Road in Houston, TX, focused on fast, accurate cash register operations and excellent customer service. Candidates should be bilingual in Spanish and English and capable of basic PC/Outlook tasks; a Retail Management Certificate is a plus.

Qualifications

Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker maintains outstanding customer service per company standards, processes sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performs cash register operations and safeguards company assets.
Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of time.
