Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a friendly Cashier to support the Customer Service & E-Commerce team at our store.

You will ring up groceries, assist customers, bag items, and maintain clean, organized front-end areas. You will follow store procedures and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Ideal candidates have strong math and communication skills, a team mindset, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Demonstrates patience in dealing with customers and Team Members.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow directions and procedures; effective time management.

Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register.
• Follows all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy.
• May assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members.
• Assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines.
• Proactively participates in company programs as directed by leadership.
• Arrives to workstation on time and ready to work; attends required trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
