ShopRite of Fischer Bay in Toms River, NJ is seeking a Customer Service/Courtesy Counter Clerk to provide exceptional service, assist customers, and perform scanning, pricing and bagging tasks. This role emphasizes accuracy, friendliness, and efficiency in daily front-end operations.

You will handle payments, process returns, answer inquiries, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while upholding ShopRite service priorities and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand for the duration of a shift and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Enter customer information for eligibility of Wakefern programs.
• Handle cash register and cash handling procedures.
• Process customer returns according to company policy.
• Answer inquiries in person or by phone in a professional manner.
