Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED, or relevant education and experience.
  • Six months cashier experience for Customer Service Desk roles.
  • Minimum 18 years old (19 in Idaho and Alaska if selling tobacco).
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends, any shift, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
  • Related retail experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver excellent customer service and encourage others to do the same.
  • Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, handle transactions, bag merchandise, and manage produce codes.
  • Maintain file logs for price discrepancies and ensure cleanliness of checkstand area.
  • Answer phones, comply with policies, promote company initiatives, and manage electronic article surveillance tags and activations.
Store Accounting:
  • Maintain store accounting functions and prepare bank deposits.
Customer Service Desk:
  • Open/close desk, process refunds, exchanges, money orders, bill pay, gift cards, and rentals.
  • Provide lottery and license services, send/receive faxes, manage lost and found, and run vendor reports.
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
  • Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as required.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
