Cashier

Part Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $17.25/hr to $20.13/hr depending on qualifications and experience

Must be at least 18 years and older

Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has eight stores in Norwalk, Danbury, and Newington, CT, Farmingdale, East Meadow & Yonkers, NY, Paramus & Clifton, NJ. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop

Position Description:

Cashiers complete the monetary transaction with customers by scanning and weighing products and accepting money, checks, credit/debit cards, or other form of payment for purchases.Operate cash register in food store or outdoor season shops.

• Welcoming customers and answering any questions they have about our products
• Balancing cash register

Working Conditions:

• Requires frequent walking, standing, reaching and bending, with occasional lifting up to 30 pounds
