Job description

Join to apply for the Front Desk Associate role at Brookhaven at Lexington.

We are seeking a compassionate and organized second shift Front Desk Associate to join our team at a vibrant senior living community. You will be the first point of contact for residents, families, and visitors, providing exceptional service and support.

Regular Schedule (34.5 hours per week):

  • Monday – 12:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Tuesday – 2:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Wednesday - 2:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Thursday - 2:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Friday - 2:00pm – 9:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Follow reception schedule/instructions from the Director of Community Living & Outreach.
  • Answer calls, determine the nature of the call, and direct callers appropriately.
  • Greet and direct guests and visitors.
  • Manage packages and mail distribution.
  • Respond to emergencies and fire alarms, and provide timely fire alarm panel readings.
  • Assist residents with work requests and input requests into the system.
  • Update electronic tracking for absences, billing, postage, fax, and guest suite.
  • Use resources like the Calendar of Events, Resident Guide, and Internet to respond to resident inquiries.
  • Coordinate dry cleaning distribution.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed.
  • Create a calm, positive, and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Utilize the ESL system and print reports for system functionality.
  • Communicate resident concerns to the Director of Community Living & Outreach.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Be available to work holidays and weekends as part of a 365-day operation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service, preferably in elder care.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
