About the Front Desk Associate Role

As a Front Desk Associate, you will provide a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests while ensuring an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience.

Daily Responsibilities

• Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club and assist them with any questions or concerns.
• Promote our Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members on the club floor and offering assistance in their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
• Resolve member concerns and, if necessary, escalated to a manager.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.
• Perform membership‑related functions such as sign‑ups, contact/billing information updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
• Perform prospective member calls and tours; assess their membership needs.
• Execute retail transactions accurately and drive sales goals.
• Regularly clean and sanitize all exercise equipment, Black Card spa amenities, communal spaces, and your assigned area.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter‑free following the routine cleaning schedule.
• Frequently perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas; quickly fix any safety/policy issues and address cleanliness concerns.
• Promptly address maintenance and facility concerns such as broken or missing equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

• The hourly pay range for this position is $15.92 to $16.92. Planet Fitness reserves the right to pay above or below the posted range based on factors unrelated to a person’s protected class.

Physical Demands of the Front Desk Associate

• Continual standing and moving throughout the club during shifts.
• Continual communication in person or on the phone during shifts.

• Will encounter toxic chemicals during shifts.
• Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
• Ability to bend, twist, and move in various positions while carrying out tasks.
