Job summary

Planet Fitness in Syracuse is seeking Front Desk Associates who greet members professionally and help with inquiries, while supporting promotions and club operations. You will manage calls, assist with payments, and uphold a clean, welcoming environment for a high-volume gym.

Pursuing a positive, energetic attitude, you should be 18+, with a high school diploma or equivalent; retail or fitness experience is a plus. Flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Six months face-to-face customer service in retail, or 1-year fitness industry experience preferred.
• 18 years or older and able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasional 75 pounds.
• Open or flexible availability; weekdays/weekends based on club needs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and exit members in a confident, professional, friendly manner with greetings and farewells.
• Provide gracious and efficient telephone service, answering calls promptly and accurately.
• Resolve customer concerns using strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain club cleanliness for up to 50% of the shift.
• Handle payments, give change and receipts, and promote products and promotions.
• Promote benefits and encourage memberships to drive revenue.

The Front Desk Associate must be adept at balancing multiple tasks with a friendly, courteous demeanor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Welcome and exit members in a confident, professional, and friendly manner with hellos and goodbyes.Anticipate member's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all membersProvide gracious and efficient telephone service.
