Job Overview

The Front Desk Agent provides exceptional service to guests, focusing on welcoming guests, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs, and addressing inquiries and issues efficiently and courteously.

Essential Functions
  • Greet and welcome guests, register them into the system, and verify reservation details.
  • Promote and enroll guests in the hotel’s loyalty program.
  • Process payments, manage house bank, and report daily receipts.
  • Assist guests with service requests, keys, safety deposit boxes, and charges.
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints, providing solutions or escalating as needed.
  • Answer calls courteously and handle reservations efficiently.
  • Assist with shuttle or transportation services.
  • Help with luggage during arrival and departure.
  • Provide information about local area, hotel services, and amenities.
  • Manage guest requests such as laundry, messages, wake-up calls, and mail.
  • Prepare for VIP guest arrivals.
  • Follow SOPs and perform tasks as directed by management.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Handle keys properly and adhere to security policies.
  • Protect guest confidentiality and promote hotel amenities.
  • Maintain a neat appearance according to standards.
Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in customer service preferred.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of hotel services and local area.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift 15 lbs occasionally.
  • Willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
