Front Desk Agent - AC Hotel MPLS Downtown

Join us as a Front Desk Agent at AC Hotel MPLS Downtown with Sage Hospitality Group.

About the Hotel: The AC Hotel by Marriott Minneapolis is located in downtown Minneapolis at the intersection of 4th and Hennepin, across from the Minneapolis Public Library. This 9-story, 245-key hotel features the AC lounge and bar, AC library, media salons, meeting spaces, a boardroom, and a fitness center, connecting to the City skyway system. Sage Hospitality aims to hire a creative spirit to bring this hotel to life while managing operations profitably.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests and completing check-in procedures to ensure satisfaction and room requests are met.
  • Facilitating guest departures and closing guest accounts efficiently.
  • Handling cash transactions accurately and maintaining precise hotel records.
  • Responding to inquiries and accepting reservations via in-person and phone interactions, using suggestive selling to increase occupancy.
  • Maintaining good customer relations by staying informed about hotel and area events.
  • Operating PBX equipment for calls, wake-up services, and guest paging.
  • Controlling cash transactions and maintaining responsibility for personal bank.
  • Exhibiting a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • FOSSE experience preferred.
  • Mathematical aptitude, cash handling knowledge, and experience with computerized cash registers.
  • Experience in customer service and dealing directly with the public.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations tactfully.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and multitasking skills.

Physical Demands: Must be able to read, operate computers and phones, follow instructions, stand for 90% of shift, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Environment: Indoor, climate-controlled work station, primarily standing.
