Description

The Le Meridien Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is currently seeking dynamic and motivated individuals for the position of Front Desk Agent to join our team at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. As a Front Desk Agent, you will approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Stationed behind the front desk, the Front Desk Agent attends to all inquiries and requests from both hotel and dining guests, providing information, recommendations, and directions to ensure a satisfactory response.

Responsibilities
  1. Register and assign rooms to guests.
  2. Issue room keys and escort instructions to Guest Service Agent or directly to guests.
  3. Sort and track incoming mail and messages.
  4. Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues.
  5. Answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, and local directions.
  6. Keep records of room availability and rates.
  7. Compute bills, collect payments, and make change.
  8. Make, confirm, and cancel reservations.
  9. Post charges to guest bills and handle reservations and transportation requests.
  10. Deposit guest valuables in the safe deposit box.
  11. Use office software accurately.
  12. Have comprehensive knowledge of shift operations, including night audits.
  13. Be dually trained as front desk and hotel operator.
Requirements

Availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. 2nd shift availability required.

Relevant education and experience are beneficial, but a natural aptitude and alignment with company values are primary hiring drivers.

Additional Information

Salary: $17.00 per hour
