Description

Check-in/check-out hotel guests in a timely and professional manner; process all payments according to established procedures.

Financial Returns
  • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures, including posting charges, completing reports, preparing deposits, and securing the bank.
  • Manage guest safe-deposit boxes.
  • Upsell rooms to maximize hotel revenue.
People
  • Answer phones promptly and courteously.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally.
  • Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room locations.
  • Communicate guest requests or issues to management for follow-up.
Guest Experience
  • Respond to guest complaints appropriately and make service recovery gestures to ensure satisfaction.
  • Book reservations and handle cancellations, revisions, and updates.
Responsible Business
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
  • Perform additional duties such as guest room tours, concierge services, and handling special requests.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus one year of front desk/guest service experience. College preferred. Fluent English required; other languages preferred.
Physical and Other Abilities
  • Stand frequently behind the desk and in front office areas.
  • Lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • Handle objects, products, and computer equipment.
  • Operate property management and reservation systems.
Additional Skills and Conditions
  • Strong communication skills for guest and employee interactions.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, and training abilities.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
