Job summary

Hyatt Place Delray Beach is seeking a Guest Services Associate to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will assist with check-ins/outs, coordinate guest requests, inform guests about services and amenities, and welcome guests by name whenever possible.

Responsibilities include setting up meeting spaces, preparing food and beverages per standards, and handling cashiering tasks. Comfort with weekend/holiday shifts and adherence to uniform and safety procedures are

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in hospitality a plus.
• Able to work most weekends and holidays.
• Report to work on time and in proper uniform.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes.
• Coordinate all guest requests.
• Inform guests of hotel services, features and room amenities.
• Welcome the guest by name whenever possible.
• Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean and provide quality beverages and food products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Set up and break down meeting space.
• Prepare food for meetings/events.
• Follow the hotel’s rate structures, discounts and sell/upsell strategies.
• Performs cashiering tasks like bill/invoice settlement, posting charges, adjustments, etc.
• Know and carry out specified duties in response to fire alarm, guest medical emergency and security threats.
• Cancel room reservations according to policy.
• Report any items in need of repair.
• Follow all safety procedures while working.
