Job summary

Planet Fitness in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a part-time Front Desk Team Member. You will greet members, answer questions, process membership services, and support club operations.

The role requires strong service orientation, reliability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Essential duties include assisting members in person and by phone, following scripts, maintaining front desk standards, and keeping the facility clean and safe for all guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests and handle inquiries in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Follow scripts and standard procedures for member services.
• Use hardware and software to service members and maintain records.
• Ensure safety and sanitization guidelines are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness of front desk, lobby, restrooms, and common areas.
• Assist with rate reviews and memberships processing as needed.
• Perform duties assigned by supervisors and support team goals.

Essential Front Desk duties:

• Communicate with our members and TMs in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Follow verbal communication. This includes communication from members, TMs, and supervisors.
• Follow written communication. This includes prepared scripts for multiple member services, such as info calls, tours, cancellations, and rate reviews.
• Use different types of technology to service members:
• Certify in both CPR and AED training.
• Perform CPR and use the AED machine.
• Use and understand our exercise equipment and be able to demonstrate its use to members.
• Cleaning & maintaining restrooms, locker area, showers, Black Card Spa amenities, entry way, club floor, exercise equipment.
• Cleaning includes, but is not limited to, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, wiping, disposing of trash, and handling chemicals.
• Comply with all safety & sanitization guidelines.
• Other duties assigned.

• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Initiative and strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for long periods of time.

• The employee must occasionally lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
