In this role, you'll lead a fast-moving hardware program end-to-end: from early concept through trial and prototyping builds. You will manage both internal and client-facing dimensions of a program and stay on top of program execution. Embedded full-time in Boulder, CO, you'll sit at the intersection of Industrial Design, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and our client's engineering org, translating ambiguity into high-quality product prototypes, one build at a time.## ## **Engagement Structure*** Fixed-term contract, part-time - 20 hrs/week* Onsite in Boulder, CO for all scheduled working days* **Duration**: Duration: Initial 6-month fixed term, with possible extension based on business need and performance. Extensions, if any, are evaluated individually and not guaranteed.## #### **Your Role****Program Execution*** Own the program schedule across concept, prototype, and pilot-build phases, translating strategic and engineering plans into tracked, actionable project phases.* Manage development and qualification of materials, components, and sub-assemblies for small-volume prototype builds (typically 50–100 units across multiple configurations), packaging tooling and process learnings into documentation that informs future mass-production readiness.**Cross-Functional Leadership*** Drive cross-functional alignment across Industrial Design, Product Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and client counterparts to hit cost, schedule, and quality commitments.* Plan and execute builds and trials with external manufacturing partners — own first-article inspection, qualification testing, and quality gate sign-off.**Risk Management*** Identify schedule, quality, and supply risk early; own mitigation planning and escalation paths before they become critical-path problems.* Support material sourcing decisions, including sustainability, compliance, and environmental impact considerations.**Stakeholder Alignment*** Report program status at multiple altitudes — from working-level engineers to client executive sponsors — tailoring detail to audience and maintaining clear communication across all phases of the product lifecycle.## Qualifications & Experience#### **Must Have*** Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline, with 5+ years of hands-on program/project management experience delivering products comprised of multiple materials and high aesthetic quality.* Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills; able to drive cross-functional alignment without direct authority over the functions involved.* Knowledge of product development processes as well as a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.* Willingness to work onsite in Boulder, CO for all scheduled working days.#### **Nice To Have*** Experience managing product development programs in softgoods, apparel, footwear, textiles, or wearable devices.* Direct experience managing external manufacturing partners (cut-and-sew, bonding, lamination, knitting/weaving) to on-time, on-cost, on-quality outcomes.* Prior experience in wearable tech, smart apparel, or consumer accessories programs.* Understanding of technical issues and CAD/mechanical design, with the ability to engage stakeholders to drive engineering decisions to closure.* Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking.* Comfortable in high-pressure, fast-paced environments; flexible and calm with ambiguity.The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is going to be calculated on the basis of: $112,000 to $150,000Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
