Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to greet customers, operate the register, restock merchandise, and keep displays neat while delivering friendly service. This part-time role covers 25 hours per week with evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Paid training is provided, with ongoing coaching and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills, joining a mission-driven team with employee discounts and support programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly customer service.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
• High school diploma or currently pursuing
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Help open, close, and balance the register as assigned
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop
• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Include processing, pricing, and receiving donations.
