Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a part-time cashier to ensure customers have a positive checkout experience at the register and assist with payments, exchanges, and inquiries. You’ll contribute to a fast, friendly environment and support other store operations as needed.

Key qualifications include basic math, computer literacy, and the ability to stand for long periods. Training includes using the POS system and maintaining a safe workspace. bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer and inputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
